John Ronald Bolingbroke, age 74, passed away at 2:16 a.m. Wednesday, June 4, 2014, at West Valley Hospital in Goodyear, AZ. He was born May 17, 1940, in Pocatello, Idaho, to Ephraim and Zella Daniels Bolingbroke. He was raised on the family farm in Arbon Valley, Idaho. Later he attended Idaho State University and received a bachelor of science degree. He also obtained a master’s degree in mathematics and computer science from the University Of Nebraska.
John started programming computers at the infancy of the computer age when mainframe computers filled entire rooms and buildings. His career propelled him to many leadership roles developing complex software and computer systems for large corporations and state agencies over a 40 year period. John is survived by his wife, Donna, son Bill, daughter Rhonda, and six grandchildren and his brother Dale Bolingbroke.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at 11 a.m. in the Cornelison Funeral Chapel, 431 North 15th Ave., with Elder Frank Young from Community of Christ Church presiding. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services. Interment will follow in the Inkom Cemetery.
