Martin Lee Reaves, age 65, passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at the Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello, Idaho surrounded by family. He was born on January 31, 1950 in Redding, California to Leo and Kinzetta Reaves and raised by Leo and Connie Reaves. He was the third child of 13. As a young boy his family moved to Rockland, ID. Martin married his eternal companion, Rosa Dianne Brown, on Aug. 14, 1970 in the Idaho Falls Temple. They raised their 9 children in Rockland, Idaho. He worked at Lamb Weston for 42 years, retiring at the age of 62. For the last year he had been battling cancer, but was able to keep enjoying life until the last couple weeks. Martin enjoyed helping people and working on family history. He had a great love for his family and friends and would do anything for them, including getting firewood.
Martin is survived by his wife; Rosa Dianne, his children: Yvonne (Bill) Marsh of Coco, Florida; Doyle Reaves of Twin Falls, Idaho; Romney Reaves of Idaho Falls, Idaho; Jeffery (Michelle) Reaves of American Falls, Idaho; Drew (Suzanne) Reaves of Lexington, Kentucky; Misty (Jesus) Munoz of Bellevue, Idaho; Kaylene Reaves of Rockland, Idaho; ten grandchildren and one on the way; his mother, Connie Reaves; and 11 siblings. Martin was preceded in death by his parents; his sister; and two daughters, Tressa Reaves and Shaylene Reaves.
There was a viewing on Sunday, May 31, 2015 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Monday, June 1, 2015 from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.; the funeral was held on Monday, June 1, 2015 at 11 a.m. The viewings and the funeral were held at the Rockland LDS Church, Rockland, Idaho.
