Tana Nugent Erickson, age 54, of Boise, ID, passed away on Friday, June 26, 2015 at her home. She was born on Oct. 17, 1960 in Blackfoot, ID, to Tom and Raeona (Thompson) Nugent.
Tana was raised in Aberdeen, ID. She graduated from Aberdeen High School in 1979. She was active in Drill Team, Pep Club and was crowned 1979 Junior Miss. Tana then earned her RN nursing degree from ISU. She was very successful and passionate of her nursing career. She worked many years at CMC (California Men’s Prison), then later moved back to Idaho. Tana was currently employed by St. Luke’s Hospital in Boise. Tana had a passion for working with the elderly. She also had a great love for her many pets. She loved camping with her family.
Tana married Randy Erickson in 2004 and became a step-mom to his daughters Misty Maxfield and Robyn Erickson; and a grandmother to their children, Brittney and Krysten Counts and Jassmyn and Billy Maxfield of Boise. Tana also created a special bond with Randy’s mother, Robyn Erickson.
Tana was preceded in death by her grandparents, Arnold and Della (Phillips) Nugent and Ralph and Mildred (Cobbley) Thompson and Randy’s daughter, Randi Erickson. She is survived by her husband, Randy Erickson of Boise; parents, Tom and Raeona Nugent of Aberdeen; brothers, Matt (Brenda) Nugent of Sterling; Eric Nugent of Boise; sister, Pam (J) Landvatter of American Falls; nieces and nephews, TJ (Becca) Nugent of Oklahoma, Rachelle Nugent of Pocatello, Tara (Hari) Anestos of Pocatello, Kamber (Nick) Adamson of American Falls, Kelton (Suzanne) Landvatter of Utah, Keegan and Kylee Nugent of Washington; great nieces and nephews, Hunter and Gavin Adamson, Anistyn and Tash Anestos, Viola Nugent, Samual and Sterling Nugent.
A celebration of Tana’s life will be held at the home of Tom and Raeona Nugent in Aberdeen on Sunday, July 12, from 1 to 3 p.m.
