William Dwight Wall, Sr., 86, passed away Thursday, Sept. 29, 2016, at Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello, Idaho, surrounded by his family. He was born Sept. 13, 1930 to Jasiel Dwight Wall and Bessie Mae Smith.
He met his wife, Vonda Maxine Wall in Aberdeen in February of 1949 and they were married Sept. 25, of that year.
He was baptized into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints when he was 80. He was sealed to his wife for time and all eternity when he was 81.
He worked various jobs throughout many states but spent most of his time working for Amcor in Pocatello, where he retired at age 59.
He enjoyed camping, hunting, and fishing with his family. He loved bowling for many years with his family, where one year they received the Bowling Family of the Year award. In his later years he enjoyed going to the Senior Citizens Center and meeting new people.
They had five children, Linda (Dan Hall), Bill Wall Jr. (Deb), Myra (Daren Neibaur), Vonda Brunson and Mike Wall. They have 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. He will be united with his family: sisters, Elva, Anna, Bertha, Velma and Mary Leona; brothers, George, Harold and John Wall. Also preceding him in death were Leman and Ardith Whited; a grand-daughter (Christina Wall Brown); grandsons, (Chad and Christopher Wall) and a great-grandson, (Donovan Hall.)
A viewing will be held on Friday, Oct. 7, 2016 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4th Ave. Pocatello, ID. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the LDS Chapel located at 147 Bringhurst St. Chubbuck, ID 83202, with a viewing for one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in the Aberdeen Cemetery.
