James “Jim” Timothy Lehman, an established dairy farmer and life-long resident
of Aberdeen, ID, died unexpectedly in his
home on Saturday, June 18, 2022, at the age
of 74.
Jim was born in American Falls, ID,
on Jan. 9, 1948, to William and Lydia Lehman. After graduating from Aberdeen High
School, he attended heavy equipment trade
school in Weiser, ID. He then returned to Aberdeen and married Karen Simms of American Falls. Jim and Karen had two children,
Matthew and Kimberly.
Jim loved to spend time with his family
and especially loved making breakfast and
thin pancakes when the kids and grandkids
came home to visit. He also enjoyed making homemade wine and fishing when he had
any spare time from farm work.
Jim is survived by his spouse Karen; son Matthew
(Sandi) of Winnemucca, NV; and daughter
Kimberly; granddaughter, Chante Lehman
(Thomas Richard III) of Idaho Falls, ID;
and grandson, Brayden Lehman; one great-granddaughter; one brother, Robert Lehman
of Aberdeen; and one sister, Marlene Funk
of American Falls. He had many nieces and
nephews who loved him greatly. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother,
William (Bill) Lehman; one sister, Norma
Montgomery; and one grandson, Derik.
A visitation service was held from 10 to
10:45 a.m. on Friday, June 24, at The First
Mennonite Church in Aberdeen. A funeral
service followed at 11 a.m. Interment was
at the Homestead Cemetery in Aberdeen. To
