Tigers great season comes to an end, takes home third place trophy

The No. 4 ranked Aberdeen Tigers
faced off against the No. 3 ranked Firth
Cougars in the 2A state semifinals on
Saturday, Nov. 12, at Holt Arena on the
Idaho State University campus. The Tigers came up short against the Cougars
losing 34-20.
The Tigers got off to a fast start
scoring on a 62 yard touchdown run by
quarterback Brody Beck on the second
play of the game. With the Tigers leading 8-0, a Tiger defensive tackle forced
a Firth fumble at the Tiger 38 yard line.
Tiger linebacker Juan Hernandez recovered the fumble and returned it 62
yards for a touchdown. The Tigers had
a 14-0 lead midway through the first
quarter.
The Tigers led 14-7 at the end of
the first quarter as Firth responded with
a score of their own. The Tigers gave
the Cougars good field position with a
mishandled snap on a punt. The Cougars tied the score at 14-14. The Tigers
had a long 11 play 46 yard drive that
ended with a Tiger interception…
