The Aberdeen School Board of Trustees met Wednesday, May 17, where Superintendent Jane Ward reported the teacher negotiations had been completed and the decision to sign the district up with the state health insurance plan had been agreed upon. Teachers who are on this plan with their families will realize quite a bit of money returned to their paychecks, as the state plan is paid for differently than the health insurance plan the district currently has. That change, along with the large amount of funding the state has provided for teachers statewide is bumping teacher pay in the district quite significantly she said. …
