Joseph C. Christian III passed away Friday, Jan. 12, 2024, in the comfort of his home. He was 42 years old.
He was born on Feb. 5, 1981, in Ogden, UT, to Joseph C. Christian Jr. and Christine Marie Glass. He graduated from Mount Crest High School in 1998.
He met Heather Facer and her five children. He was an answer to their prayers. He loved her kids as his own and was a selfless father to them. He comforted them through illness and injuries. He allowed Heather to a stay at home, taught the kids how to ride bikes and supported their school activities. They had a daughter Marie together.
In 2013 they divorced, but remained good friends and coparents. In 2015 he married Elizabeth Merrell, had their son, Jeremiah, and adopted Adam. He was in the process of adopting Cameron and Gabe when he became ill.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Christian and their children Gabriel, Cameron, Adam, and Jeremiah; his ex-wife Heather Facer Nicholas (Donovan) and their children Zach, Sarah (Devin), Emma (Taylor), Briar (Preston), Jessup (Ashley), Karli (Gavin), Kalob (Shy), Balie (Chris), and Marie; his parents Joseph C. Christian Jr. (joined him shortly afterwards) and Christine Marie Glass; and his siblings Christopher Jessop (Vanessa), Travis Christian, Brandy Curry (Bill), nieces and nephews: Michael, Hadley, Cheyenne, Warren, Destiny, William Joseph, and Kloe.
Joe loved to camp, fish, spend time with his kids, and be in nature. He was involved in many community organizations including the fire departments, search and rescue, hunters ed, and scouts. He never missed a chance to tell his children he loved them more. Private services will be held in the spring per his request.
