Pegi Long, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home in American Falls, ID, on Saturday, Aug. 24, 2024, at the age of 72. Born on June 25, 1952, in Denver, CO, Pegi was a person who filled the lives of those around her with love and joy.
Pegi’s early life was marked by fond memories of summers spent in American Falls with her Aunt Imogene and Uncle Austin Woodworth. It was during these summers that she met her future husband, Glenn Long, with whom she would build a beautiful family. Pegi and Glenn became proud parents to two sons, GR and Luke, who brought immense pride and happiness to their family.
As the years unfolded, Pegi was blessed with four beautiful grandchildren. She was a loving grandmother to Brandon Long (Hailey), Ashley Booth (Bram), Karlee Long, and McKenzie Long. Each of them held a special place in her heart, and she reveled in every moment spent with them, instilling her values and sharing her wisdom.
Pegi is preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Betty Pendland, and her sister, Gena Young.
Pegi is survived by her husband Glenn of 52 years married, her sons, GR (Kelli) and Luke (Corinne), along with her cherished grandchildren, and oldest sister Karen Carter (Roger). Each family member carries forward the love and light that Pegi shared so freely.
A visitation in honor of Pegi took place on Thursday, Aug. 29, 2024, from 10 AM to 10:45 AM at Davis-Rose Funeral Home located at 170 Idaho Street, American Falls, ID. Following the visitation, a graveside service was held at Falls View Cemetery, beginning at 11 AM until 12 PM at 2938 McKinley Rd, American Falls, ID.
Pegi will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of her family and friends.
