Jessie James Montross passed away peacefully on Nov. 11, 2024 at the age of 77. He was residing in Chubbuck, ID, where he was battling Alzheimer’s.
He was born in Pendleton, OR, on June 11, 1947 to Burruss Montross and Evelyn Hartzell. He raised his family in American Falls. He had a lifelong passion for the outdoors and enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing. Though the outdoors failed in comparison for his love of bowling where he achieved his dream of bowling a 300 game.
He leaves behind his children Shane Montross, Shannon Montross, Jamie Castorena; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Bloxham-Montross; and two of his sons, Michael Montross and James Montross.
