Peggy Teeples, age 85, of Pingree, ID, passed away Thursday, Dec. 5, 2024 after a long and fulfilling life.
Peggy was born Sept. 1, 1939 in Salt Lake City, UT. She was the oldest of four daughters of Pat and Jay Fullmer. She was a proud graduate of West High School.
She married Ron Teeples on April 22, 1961, in Salt Lake City, UT, and they had two sons, Michael and Gordon.
Peggy enjoyed several jobs throughout her life – secretary / admin, seamstress, lunch worker at schools, home maker, farm wife, caregiver.
She enjoyed serving in a variety of callings in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints including providing the bread for the Sacrament for the past 15+ years. (Thank you Grandma Sycamore!)
Peggy and Ronnie moved from Salt Lake City, UT, to Pingree, ID, in 1978. She and Ronnie along with their sons Michael and Gordon enjoyed the 80 acre farm and raised a variety of animals. Many of the animals that needed fostering found themselves in the care of Peggy. The animals that needed special care seemed attracted to her love and care.
After Gordon tragically passed away in a car accident on April 25, 1982 Peggy, Ronnie and Michael worked to be sealed as a family in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on June 22 of June 1982. Peggy and Ron enjoyed working in the Idaho Falls Temple.
Peggy was a loving and caring daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend to many. She provided end-of-life care for several friends and family members. Her friendship, love and compassion will be missed by her many friends and family – grandsons, nieces and nephews and especially her “family” at Martha’s Café in Blackfoot, ID. She provided care for Ronnie in the last years of his life as he suffered from Alzheimer’s. Their family at Martha’s brought them great comfort and friendship.
Peggy was preceded in death by her husband Ronald, her parents Jay and Violet “Pat” Fullmer and son Gordon.
She is survived by her sisters Joyce DeLaMare (Winter), Carla Fullmer, Jaylynn Rice (Jay), her son Michael (Beth) and their six boys: Jeromy (Cielo), Alex, Dylan, Matthew, Joshua (Jenny) and Samuel, two great grandsons – Octavius and Ronan and a great-granddaughter – Lyla.
Peggy was very appreciative of the kind help she and Ronnie received from their neighbors, Lakeview Ward members and their Martha’s family. As her family, we thank you all for you kindness and love!
