Laura Ruth Sorensen

Laura Ruth Sorensen passed away
peacefully on Sunday, July 3, 2022 at her
home in Aberdeen, ID.
Laura was born Dec. 18, 1949 in
American Falls, Power County, ID, to Victoria Griffin and Ralph Myrt Hayes. She
graduated from Aberdeen High School
with the class of 1968 and from Brigham
Young University with the class of 1972.
She married her high school sweetheart, Leland Sorensen, on Aug. 6, 1971
in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. She was a
member of the Aberdeen Second Ward of
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints.
Laura is survived by her husband, Leland Sorensen, of nearly 51 years; her four
daughters, Heather (Christopher) McPhie,
Shauna (Michael) Jones, Karen (Scott)
Howell, and Linda Woods; her three brothers, Ralph (Chandra) Hayes, LeRoy (Deborah) Hayes, and Steven (Linda) Hayes;
and 22 grandchildren; and one great-grandaughter.
Funeral services were held at the Aberdeen meeting house of The Church of
Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Friday,
July 8, with a viewing from 9 to 10:45 a.m.
