Tommy Allen Dean passed peacefully into the loving arms of his Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, Jan. 5, 2023, surrounded by his family. He was 78 years old and passed away due to lung cancer.
He is survived by: his wife, Jewell Dean; his son, Jason and Julie, and their spouses and children. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, and his grandson Jeffrey O’Brien.
Tom was a science teacher, and football and wrestling coach for many years in Aberdeen. He loved spending time helping both his students and his teams to work hard and be more than they thought they could be. His desire was to make a difference in each student. He believed in his students and expected nothing less than their best.
In the end, Tom was happy, filled with peace, and full of the hope he had in Christ, that he would be with Him always. His life verse was Romans 8:28 – “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.”
Tom was a man’s man and loved in action. He trusted firmly in the knowledge that what he was going through was by the grace of God and would work together for good. He would implore each of you to give your heart to Jesus today and join him in glory!
There will be a funeral on Saturday, Jan. 21 at 10 a.m. at Calvary Chapel Boise, 123 Auto Drive, Boise Idaho, 83709. Family and friends are welcome. Tom has chosen to be cremated and will be laid to rest in the Veterans Cemetery later in a small ceremony with his family
