Glenna Anderson, 93, passed away on Monday, Feb. 13, 2023.
Glenna Kelly was born Aug. 31, 1929, to Bertie Carlyle and Lois Leona Kelly. She was raised in Rockland, ID. She attended school and was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a proud graduate of Rockland High School (Go Bulldogs).
After high school, she attended secretarial school in Spokane, WA. This is where she met her sweetheart for life, Jack Anderson. He had just returned from the war, and with the help of her roommate, Bea, who happened to be Jack’s sister, they began a two-week whirlwind romance. They then married Sept. 27, 1948, in Spokane.
They had four children; Larry (Barbara), Kelly (Dawn), Randy (Gayle Sue), and Roxanna.
She loved to play all kinds of card games, but her all-time favorite was panguingue. If you didn’t see her around the card table, chances are you could find her relaxing in Island Park, or camping in Mackay with her family. For many years she worked at the Bannock County Courthouse as a Deputy Clerk under the watchful eyes of Judges Gus Anderson, Art Oliver, and Peter McDermott. She also enjoyed crocheting, reading, canning, and socializing out, mostly with her son Kelly after her husband passed.
Thanks to the incredible staff of the Gables Assisted Living Memory Care in Pocatello, who loved her and took such amazing care of Glenna for her final few years.
She is survived by sons, Larry (Barbara) Anderson; Randy (Gayle Sue) Anderson; daughter, Roxanna Anderson; daughter-in-law Dawn Anderson, as well as ten grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bertie and Leona Kelly; husband, Jack Anderson; brother, Ross Kelly; son, Kelly Anderson; and grandson, Justin Anderson.
