Farice Thompson, 93, of Idaho Falls, passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2023, at Fairwinds Sandcreek in Idaho Falls. She was under the care of One Source Home Health and Hospice.
Farice was born March 8, 1930, in Springfield, ID, to Frank Charles and LaRena Irene Fairchild Gravatt. She grew up in Sterling, ID, with five siblings: Darwin, JoAnne, Frances, Lamarra, and Charles. Lamarra and Charles passed away early in their life.
Farice graduated from Aberdeen High School in 1948. On May 20, 1948, Farice married W. Daniel Thompson in Pocatello, ID. They were later divorced. He died on June 18, 1999. On Jan. 20, 1995, she married Ermal Ray Thompson in Idaho Falls. Ermal died on Sept. 18, 2015.
Farice lived in Aberdeen and Idaho Falls. She worked at Economy Cash and Cardinal Food Town in Aberdeen and was a hostess at Smitty’s Restaurant in Idaho Falls. She enjoyed golf, playing cards, painting, dancing, doing crossword puzzles, socializing, and being with her family. She was energetic, and all about her family.
She is survived by: her daughter, Vicki Cook (Rich) of Hotchkiss, CO; son, Brent D. Thompson (Teri) of Ammon, ID; daughter, Debra Brendel (Joseph) of Flagstaff, AZ; son, Clay Thompson of Pocatello, ID; son, Rick Thompson of Grand Junction, CO; 24 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; and two sisters.
Funeral Services were held Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls. The services were live-streamed at facebook.com/coltrinmortuary. Interment was at the Springfield-Sterling Cemetery, on Hwy. 39, in Springfield, ID. Condolences may be sent online at www.coltrinmortuary.com.
