June 25, 1980 – December 8, 2024
Pocatello — Joshua Koger, born June 25, 1980 to Ramona Koger and Charles W. Aikin, was called home on Sunday, Dec. 8, 2024.
Josh grew up in Pocatello and American Falls, ID, with his family. He attended school at Franklin Middle School, and American Falls High School. He spent most of his young life causing ruckus with his brothers and sister. Josh had four kids whom he loved more than anything, until his grandbabies came along.
Josh’s favorite things to do were hunting, fishing, camping, and sitting around the fire with his loved ones, having a beer and talking all night. He loved music, especially any country, Eminem, and Yealwolf. He was a big fan of Ford, the Broncos and John Wayne.
In his later years, Josh became a rancher and took great pride in his cattle and the farm life he created following in his grandpa’s footsteps. His greatest joy came from being a dad, and even more so a “Poppy” to his six grandbabies (with another on the way that he was over the moon happy for). Poppy spoiled and cherished all of his babies.
Josh was a handyman and a “jack of all trades,” if he could figure out how to fix something himself, it was his personal mission to fix his own and everyone else’s. Josh was the kind of man to give the shirt off his back, even if it meant freezing himself. He never hesitated to offer a hand. He loved everyone fiercely but had no problem telling someone where to stick it if there was an issue.
He was more than a Dad, Papa, Brother, Friend, Cousin, Nephew, Son, and Grandson, he was our superhero. There was nothing he couldn’t or wouldn’t do for the people he loved.
Josh is survived by his daughter, MaKayla Koger (Noah Bake) of Pocatello; sons, Kaiden Severns (Elizabeth Roath), Kolton Koger, Pocatello, Richard Koger (Kendra Wilkinson and daughter-in-law Taylor Goad, Pocatello; his Grandmother Beryline Koger of Pocatello and Mom Ramona (Koger) Ping of Blackfoot; Sister, Amber Koger, Blackfoot; brothers, Kristopher Bragg of Blackfoot, Jon (Amelia) Aikin, and Wyatt (Miranda) Aikin, Pocatello, Rick (Roni) Hobson of Pocatello, Sean (Keri) Hobson of Meridian; Jesse (Dana) Camphouse of Pocatello, Adam (Mika) Ping, Pocatello; Jessica Ping, Idaho Falls, Steve (Amanda) Smith of Pocatello.
