Clarence Theodore Fehringer

Clarence Theodore Fehringer, devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, born in Peetz, CO, to Joe and Agnes Fehringer, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 27, 2015 at Portneuf Medical Center, Pocatello, with his family by his side.
Clarence is survived by his children Keith Fehringer (Machelle) American Falls, Renee Scheierman (Reggie) Soda Springs, ID, Joe Fehringer (Laura) Eagle, ID, Debbie Jenks (Mike) Middleton, ID, and Michael Fehringer (Libby) Chubbuck, ID; 11 grandchildren (Nicole, Lindsay, Erin, Tyler, Cody, Kristen, Robbie, Angel, Lucas, Avery and Rylee); and six great-grandchildren, (Cherish, Bryant, Talon, Eli, Kimbree and Sage); and sister Bernice Roberts and Norbert Fehringer. He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Marianna Fehringer; his parents, Joe and Agnes; and his brother, Walt Fehringer, and sisters, Renee and Agnes.
Clarence Fehringer, the fourth oldest of the seven children of Joseph and Agnes Fehringer, was born Oct. 13, 1928 in Peetz, CO. He grew up on the family farm there and received his education in the local schools and high school at St. Pats Catholic High School in Sidney, NE. He was a sergeant in the U.S. Marines Corps serving from September 1951 to September 1953. He was a telephone line specialist and served in Korea. He married Marianna Wilkins in November of 1955 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Peetz, and a few months later they made their way to Aberdeen, ID, to start their family and farm where they have remained until recently when they moved to Pocatello.
Clarence and Marianna enjoyed their life on the farm.
He had a great love for his family.
He enjoyed following his children in all of their various activities through their school years and enjoyed doing the same with the grandchildren.
Clarence enjoyed square dancing with Marianna and liked to work in his garden and wood working in his shop. He enjoyed spending the winters in Arizona with his wife Marianna. He was active in the Jaycees and enjoyed bowling.
Clarence was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and member of the Knights of Columbus.
A Rosary service was held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30, at the Presentation of the Lord Catholic Blessed Sacrament Chapel, 667 S. 4th West in Aberdeen with a viewing at 5 p.m. The Funeral Mass was held 3 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 31, at the church with a viewing prior to the Mass at 2 p.m. Interment with Military Honors was in the Aberdeen Cemetery.
