Dennis Ray Zimmerman, 62, of American Falls, ID, passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2016 in Pocatello, ID. He was born March 16, 1954 in American Falls to Glen and Maureen Stewart Zimmerman.
Dennis enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1972 and served as an airplane mechanic. Afterward, Dennis farmed with his father for many years and later went on to grow a very successful trucking company. He was greatly respected in his community and was a lifelong member of the Assembly of God Church in American Falls.
Dennis loved his trucks and his employees, his horses, dogs and cats. Dennis is survived by his wife, Roseanna; five children, Kristy Brilyn, James Zimmerman, Brandon Zimmerman, Jodie Eveland, Stephen Russell; and four grandchildren. He is also survived by his mother, Maureen Teeters; and sister, Linda Mulvey, of Coeur d’Alene, ID. Dennis was preceded in death by his father, Glen Zimmerman.
A memorial service was held in Coeur d’Alene, ID, at English Funeral Chapel, Coeur d’Alene, on Saturday, May 14, at 2 p.m. An announcement will be given for a later memorial service to be held in American Falls in June.
