Monroe “Monte” Beach, 91, of Blackfoot, ID, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2013 at Mountain View Hospital in Idaho Falls from complications of surgery.
Mr. Beach was born in Rayville, LA. He moved to Idaho in 1958. He was a veteran of both WWII and the Korean War. He was a member many years of the Idaho Old Time Fiddlers. Monte and his first wife, Willie, married Aug. 1, 1942. He later married Nancy Taylor on June 30, 1984.
He is survived by his sons, Shelton (Beverly) Beach and Phil Beach, both of Blackfoot; daughters, Stella (Milford) Chase of Salt Lake City, UT, and Ellen (Jeff) May of Richland, WA; stepdaughter, Toni Faurote of Blackfoot; brother, Mose Beach; two sisters, Betty Wilcox and Fannie (Tinker) Farmer; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren left behind who love their grandpa.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy; first wife, Willie; son, Delton; and grandson, Monte.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 12, at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 South Shilling Avenue in Blackfoot. The family will meet with friends and relatives from 9:30 to 11 a.m. prior to services at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Grove City Cemetery.
